[CWM] ClockworkMod Recovery for the LG Optimus C

Okay OC owners, I have a working build of ClockworkMod Recovery. I have submitted it to Koush for official build and merged into ROM Manager.

An app called Flash Image GUI can be use to install or in terminal.

    Link:
    recovery.img

    to install in terminal:

    su

    mount -o remount, rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system

    cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image

    chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image

    flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img

Thanks to sillputtyddd for the cmd syntax!!!

USE AT OWN RISK!! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR PHONE!!

Can a mod please edit topic and remove [ALPHA] please. Thank you.

Yes assuming there is a way to restore it to stock say after a rooting and bloat removal spree.

should be able to install it with the normal methods for the OC. I will upload and add a link to the OP.

Got a test build of CM74OC compiling atm too

or do you mean a complete restore? with CWM yea def should be doable, but I dont have an official one from LG or CricKet that would work with the stock recovery.

So should I hold off on using that method until you update?

The instructions work, but they return you to the Optimus C 2.2.1 stock. I am working on the package now and will update the instructions shortly on how to return back to factory stock. No root...... looks fresh out of the box. It will delete everything so make sure you perform backups on the data you want saved (sms, contacts, apps, etc.). It won't affect your sb card.

*** Just finished updating the instruction and putting the new 2.2.2. restore package up. ***

2 confirms this is working. Gonna work on adding keybindings for the soft keys and investigate an error that gets displayed but doesnt seem to affect anything from functioning.

ANd you ask the guy w/o the phone lmao. But Silly installed via terminal I think and Chris (PPA) installed it with Flash Image GUI. Silly mentioned that should work fine for installing. Seems to be an issue with fastboot and the OC.
