Here's another last ditch effort to try. While booting up try every possible key combo. keep trying, you may find key combination that breaks the cycle. That worked once for me.

    Have you tried this?

Battery pull for 5 minutes, then put it back in then press and hold home+volume down then press and hold power untill it comes on...

If you read the rest of the posts on this thread you would know that his recovery is corrupted and this will not work.

Ive done the same thing twice im twice as dumb as you. The stock rom instructions do work as i was able to recover my optimus c twice thanks to that. Here is the kicker after your phone is bricked it wont connect to the conputer so what you need to do is this.
Make sure the phone is off and not trying to boot take tha battery off if you have to. Press volume up + back arrow button and connect the usb cable do not press the power button it doesn't work with that. If done right you will see a white screen with s/w firmware upgrade and the phone will be recognized on the computer thus allowing you to continue with the stock rom recovery. I have bricked my phone twice one by using rom manager and the second one by trying to put a recovery menu and this has saved my phone.
Hopefully someone still finds this useful.

One of these methods may actually save your phone. If you can force it into update mode, then the computer would probably recognize it and let you restore the stock software. I do recall stumbling upon these screens during my first bricking adventure.

    Follow the instructions
    here

you don't have to wait for the battery to die. you can take it out and soon as it boots into the sw update mode stick the battery in qucickly. I needed help to do this as 2 hands are not enough. this fixed me right up.

Believe it or not, this worked for me. Bricked my Optimus with ROM MANAGER also. I tried every thing. I played with it ALL day, figured what do I have to lose? Followed instructions above, after a few try's the charge battery icon came on,then I hit the power button and it booted. Shut down, pulled the battery for 30 sec. And restarted. Worked great. Thankyou, saved me alot of headaches. First thing was REMOVE Rom Manager. Thanks again. Mike
