    LG optimus C 2.2.2

Is there a way to upgrade the lg optimus c to android 2.2.2, it came with 2.2.1?

Also, I have had this phone for about a week and I noticed that the cell standby is using most of my battery and that the time without a signal is at 50%. I have been looking on the internet and this seems to be a very common problem. I did the
Open dial pad and dial *#*#4636#*#* (If Testing menu doesn'tcome up than click "Call" and it will come up)>Go to Phoneinformation>Scroll down and you'll see preferred network type>click itand switch it to GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
It did seem to make a difference with the cell standby time without a signal but my battery is was running out, maybe even faster. The battery on this phone sucks, without even touching the phone, while unplugged, after been full charged, it will drain out in about 6 to 8 hours, is that common?
Another thing, advance task killer, even advance task killer for froyo (beta) does not seem to work to kill running apps. Any suggestions?

There must be something wrong with your phone sir or madam. I would take it to a store and have them see what's wrong. The LG Optimus C I had was awesome! Download the app Juice Defender, it boosts your battery by about 150 percent.

I took it to two cricket stores, first store told me to contact lg. The other cricket store did not have any experience with LG optimus, only selling them. I even called cricket which they are no help and they said that is the average time for that battery for optimus. I have also tried juicedefender which probably gave me a few extra mintues

If you take it to a store, make sure it's not a "We only sell/activate phones" store. In Charlotte, NC there is only one store that actually works on the phones and several hundred that are just dealers. If you look one up in the phone book, they should be able to tell you which one(s) does repairs.

As far as your battery life goes, have you rooted and uninstalled/frozen the bloatware? After doing that my battery life has improved ten-fold. Especially after removing the LG Facebook/Twitter app.

But, to answer your original question - Don't worry about 2.2.2. The Optimus will get 2.3 soon. Some websites say June/July, but don't hold me to that.

Search the market for "Root Uninstaller" - Personally, I like AnTek App Manager for Root, but there are several others.
