    problems with installing cwm recovery

I downloaded the terminal emulator and tried using the prompts shown on the cm7 install guide
But I can't seem to get it to work, I have only managed to hard reset my oc twice now

On the "adb shell" I tried but it say permission denied
And when I did the "su" it said file or directory not found

So I copied the 1 previewed in the cm7 guide and put it in sdcard/ ,and named it flash_image
Then retried the command prompt again but to only have hard reset my fone yet again

Any help would be much appreciated, still a bit new to this "/ but have managed to root and modify
Other aspects of the fone nothing major tho

It almost sounds like you have not rooted the phone yet. Using gingerbreak is the easiest method for this phone.

I have root access, and superuser icon on my fone, also have installed. Busybox and I
Am running better terminal emulator pro, maybe a problem with it being full root?
But I also am running setcpu and tasker and have changed the font in my font thru font changer witch requires
Root Idk I can take a screen shoot and post Idk if that'll help

Also was wondering seems that "adb shell" is not a complete Command line?

O and gingerbreak is how I rooted my fone, after I got root I had downloaded titanium. And was deleting
Some factory Apps and had hard reset my fone by mistake right after I had root Idk if this may have effected my root access

Ok...well check this then. Go into superuser and make sure there are no programs that are blocked. You are typing su first in adb shell right? Otherwise none of the other commands will work.

**edit: download superuser from the market. It should have been installed during the rooting process, but apparently it is missing. That's your problem.

I checked superuser only app I have right now is setcpu in the list? What app would I be missing that might be blocked?
good thing u told me to check that or I woulda forgot to reinstall Busybox
    After earyer reset

I open the terminal emulator type "adb shell" it says permission Denied
But if I just type "su" it will go to the next line and have a # instead of the $

You can do it off your phone. So you type su then adb shell? Take a screenshot of your terminal

I can't figure out how to upload the pic, I can text it 2 some 1 if they could post it "/

    Basically it goes like this
    Adb shell
    Adb permission. Denied
    Su
    #mount -o remount,rs -t yuffs2 /Dec/block/mtdblock5 /system
    Cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
    Chloe 755 /system/bin/flash_image
    Flash_image recover /sdcard/recovery.iMG
    Then I get
    flash_image: 1:syntax error: "(" unexpected

Ok. Not sure what is going on but there is another option for loading the recovery. A app called flashimage GUI. It's $1 from the market, but it works flawlessly for loading the recovery, it will also flash kernel images.

OK got flash image GUI, so I downloaded the recovery.img off of the install guide and put it on the sdcard then opened flash image GUI delete flash_image the browsed the files and clicked on the recovery.img then clicked flash,

So what do I do next? And did I do those steps right?

You did dl the latest build n copy it to your sdcard? Then use install zip from sdcard, select CM74OC.
