Not sure exactly how you were able to get past the "Failed... Unable to open the COM.. port" error but if you could let me know it'd be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. Great information. I have a htc hero from sprint, that I had flashed over to cricket under the $45.00 dollar plan some time last year. Everything was working fine until I had to change the phone number, and ever since then I wasn't able to send and receive picture messages or get on the web. Talk and text work fine. I then came across this forum hoping to find some answers. Will reflashing my phone using the information here help me with these issues? Or since I have talk and text already, can I skip some of the steps here and just use what I need to get the mms and web issues resolved? If I have to start from scratch that's not a problem. ( I say that with apprehension ) since I've never done anything like this before and probably will be asking questions later. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks....
