Thumbs up FULL WORKIN CM 7.0.2 GB (Talk/Text/Web/SMS/MMS) SUCCESSFULL! Tri-band Area(Chicago)

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS ALSO BEING USED After playing around way too long, I downloaded APN BACKUP & RESTORE from the market as well as Token419's "CRICKET SETTINGS" APP from the market(link at bottom).... but even with his app I still had to tweak it to get it to work correctly... Now everything works 100% on the $45 plan and Token419 even told me that using anycut and altering the proxy settings "IS A NO-NO" as I found out when the internet worked fine but the market wouldn't connect, removed the proxy settings back to default(blank) and the market worked along with the internet.. Since I've gotten so much help from Chris here, I am willing to help others out and give a copy of my APN settings,FIRST-DO A NANDROID BACKUP, then alter your APN using Notepad change the xxxxxxxxx's to your 10digit number and "save as" (anyname.XML)MAKE SURE you put .XML on the end of the file name, open APN backup and restore and click restore and select the file you just saved.. reboot and be done.. when it works do a nandroid backup in case something goes wrong in the future...

I am having tempermental issue with the MMS here and there, maybe its cause I'm on the $45 plan and not the dedicated Android plan, or I may just need to tweak the APN a little more.. Cause the issue is I can get every Fwd MMS msg, but occasionally I can't receive regular pics from people... but I do still receive them from time to time... Go Figure

link to Token419's thread for settings app... granted it's $2.99 on the market

    (SORRY NO AUDIO)

I personally have had no problems running CM7 on the Hero, I think it runs faster than CM6.1 which is what I switched from. I need to know what APP to use to get a benchmark on the speed of the phone before I overclock it.. Here's a mediocre quality video I took just for this post. And remember if anyone in Northwest suburbs of Chicago needs any help, feel free to ask.. I have no problem helping others, Thx again for all the help you gave me Chris and to Token419 if he happens to venture over, I have to give credit where due, and if it wasn't for you both I wouldn't be typing this... THANKS

I bought Token419's "CricketSettings" app from the market and used it to set the mms settings, I forgot where I found the mcc & mnc settings on
    www.xda-developers.com

forum, they have a lot of things posted on cricket just have to search their site.. One person specifically stated those numbers and after I set them to that I was able to send and receive pic msgs, so in turn I backed up my APN and copied the text of it and posted it here. My phone switches automatically off 3G to send and receive texts/mms just like it should. try it is all i can suggest, just MAKE SURE you backup your current APN first. good luck

as long as you already backed up his original one, try to delete the APN's stored in the phone 1st, then restore the new one, then reboot phone.. is his on the $45 plan or the droid plan?
