    *#83786633 not working

I've been using a verizon sch-i500 flashed to cricket for 2 years. I unfortunately followed the advise of cricket tech support and *228'd my phone and lost 3g.

Then a well intentioned friend factory reset it. Now when I try to bypass the activation screen I get - call not sent "*#83786633 is not an emergency number. When I dial the number, the home button does nothing - hitting the phone or number display bar is the only way to send. Neither works.

Seems to be stuck in limbo. Need some advice on work arounds.

I can confirm that is the correct sequence to dial to bypass activation. Once you dial that, a message saying "Home Keys Enabled" should pop up for a few seconds. After that, just hit the home key and it should take you to the home screen.

Couldn't bypass the activation, but I factory reset and was able to activate via wifi. Now if I can just get my 3g back.
