Way Easier MMS for Verizon Fascinate

If you are using the stock Verizon software it doesn't take much to get MMS working on this phone. In fact, it is one of the easiest phones to fully flash for Cricket once you know this method (the same thing works for the Continuum). I have encountered a couple of phones that have an unknown security code for MMS Provisioning, but this so easy that it is well worth a try before you start messing with replacing the Mms.apk. Odds are, you'll save yourself a ton of time.

Dial *#22745927 and select "Hidden menu enabled"

Dial ##3282#, enter "000000" for the SPC, and select "MMS Provisioning"

Enter "500667" for the security code (400667 on the continuum -- you might notice that these codes are the phone's model number followed by "MMS" on the dial pad)

The rest should be familiar to anyone who has flashed a Verizon feature phone:

Change "vtext" in the URL to "mycricket" and the upload address to "111111"

Change the password from "vzw" to "cricket" (the username doesn't matter, and changes you make to it won't stick so leave it alone)

Press back, then home and you're done.

This forum, and Chris specifically, have been great resources for me. I'm posting this as a thank you. Enjoy.

Odd thing. I am not receiving calls on my phone, but can place calls fine. 3g works as well.

    Steps.

    Flashed stock EH03.
Followed procedure to flash to cricket.
QPST gave a warning that the ESN of the phone on com port has changed, when I wrote changes to phone, but otherwise worked well.
Rebooted after everything was done, and have 3G.
But I cannot receive calls now.
I have flashed over 35549.prl -- which is my local PRL (have it on all my phones so it is confirmed working), min _should_ be correct (should never have changed from the flash), MDN is set up correctly.

    Any suggestions?

    EDIT::
    SOLVED.

For some odd reason, the system defaulted to call forwarding. Performed a *720 and *730, power cycled, and can now receive incoming calls.

There you go, but remember to post in an appropriate thread next time. There is a thread for prls specifically, and I have posted this before.
    Attached Files Attached Files
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

Hi, totally new to this so sorry if I upset anybody with the simplicity of my question: does your10digitcricketnumber@mycricket.com mean that I need to have a cricket number already or is it meant literally?

Could someone please help me. I purchased a new cricket account and followed this tutorial and everything writes to the phone fine but I can't get any service. At first when I tried to make a call it would just beep. Then I tried a different prl and wrote the nv items again but now it doesn't make a sound. I have tried several different prls. I am in a tri band area and am just trying to get talk and text so I'm using hybrid prls.

Also when I write the NV items from white rabbit it only writes 7. Is this normal?

    Any help would be appreciated.
