After that there is a $20 fee for exchanges done in the store for the remainder of the 1 year warranty period. This fee is to cover the shipping and handling you would pay if you sent it in to the manufacturer yourself.
Interesting. So, I'd pay $20, and then get a new phone right then and there, without needing to wait, correct?

Well original store will not replace it. The guy that works there has a shitty attitude like mentioned before. Called the other store got a hold of another rep. he is going to call the guy i purchased it from in the morning to see what he can do.

If there is over 30 minutes of talk time on the phone there's really nothing for him to do for you.. dealers cannot just take losses like that since he CANNOT return it to the vendor. I understand his attitude about it, and no one should be sending you back to him since they know his position.. honestly that store just wanted to get rid of you.

All in all the fact is you're not even sure it came from the factory like that.. so if you can't say for sure than noone else can.

I'm sorry for being a bit tough about this but this is how things work everywhere.. businesses are around to make money so don't expect them to replace broken items on a whim.. its bad for them, their employees, the economy and ultimately their customers.

Last time. Try a different corporate store. They may swap it. If not, I hope you got insurance.

I have a similar issue. I lost the volume rocker in my phone too, its too old to get it replaced under warrnaty but It seems to be an easy fix if I can find a replacment rocker button. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks in advance for your help.

You're talking about the Huawei Ascend 2 right? If so, it should still be under warranty because it's been less than a year.

    Same issue

    And the same resolution.

Useless to say warranty void when rocker is simply soldered on and can fall off.

Been doing without it since first week I got my phone in August.
