I know its not the first Muve phone, but I heard there was an upgrade coming in october. Is there an official spec sheet somewhere? I can't even find the phone on the huawei site.

Yahoo claimed it has an 600mhz processor and Gingerbread 2.3, but other sources claim it has "Froyo 2.2" and a 800mhz processor not sure what that means...

    Specs 3

Oh, and I'm planning on doing some Android App/Game development and using this lower end product as a good test platform. Is it relatively easy to transfer an app from PC to the phone?

    Thanks
There is WiFi, which allows you to connect to a wireless router for Internet on the phone, instead of using the cell phone towers. Then, there is WiFi tethering. That basically makes you phone a WiFi hotspot (like a wireless router) and then you can connect other devices to your phone, like an iPad, to your phone to use Internet over the cell phone towers. This is done at your own risk, will void your warranty (since you need to root your phone for it) and is usually against Terms of Service.

Here is something you can look at if you haven't already: http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-...ngerbread.html

You should be able to move the apk from the computer to the phone and then install it on the phone.

Thanks for the info everyone. So I guess my last question is, are there any Droid Cricket phones with WiFi tethering support built in?

You'd need to go to one of the major carriers for that, and they'd probably charge you like $30/month extra for it.

Yeah, that's crazy. I think Cricket should allow tethering and WiFi Hotspot. They'd be the only major carrier offering that at no additional charge. I think that would shock a lot of people.

Right. It's my understanding that Cricket won't support that, meaning they won't provide service for it anymore?

I use WiFi Tether all the time. You just need to understand it is done at your own risk. If you're terminated or get in trouble, it's your own fault. The same if you mess up your phone.. That's on you, nobody else.

    I've been fine though.
