    There's definitely something sketchy going on with this phone. I suspect that we have a combination of stock image bloat combined with a Verizon/Cricket service 'issue'. Not much can be done if there's a size limit difference between the two carriers. The slow performance can be directly attributed to the settings of the phone and the Cricket image load. I could not run Angry Birds at all on my Ascend 1 when I got it. After some updates I was able to run it about about 2 frames per second. Once I ditched the Cricket load and went to CM7 I was able to run Angry Birds MUCH better. Given that the Ascend 2 is a step above...I'm thinking you can tweak it to get it to run much faster.

    I too can't get MMS from verizon customers. Pretty dumb IMO. I just deal with it. Other then that I believe my phone runs great.

    Hopefully people can get the word around. Check for an online update on your phone. go to settings> about phone> online update. I had a notification. It updated android to 2.3.5 and now verizon picture messages seem to be working great. Hope this helps.
