    Im ready to root! but....

    I'm not sure what program to use as there are a few. I'm still on the original, out of the box, stock 2.3.3 and have never updated to the muve thing or anything like that. What's the best/easiest way for me to root?

    No it wouldn't, it'll just lead me to instruction that don't aply to the way I explained. If that would've helped, I wouldn't have posted in the 1st place. But thanks anyways, ill pass that info onto someone who has no idea how to use a forum at all.

    Update.zip root file placed at root of SD card turn off phone hold volume. Up and power boot into recovery install update poof rooted

    Thanks, ill give it a shot! One more quick question, what about that nandroid backing up thing I've read about? Should I do one of those and if so, how? (Just incase I need to get it back working if something goes wrong)

    This is the link to rom manager do not update this program open select flash recovery ascend 2 then boot into recovery go to back up then back up ur phone. Must root phone first and yes do back up of ur phone as stock before modifying anything
