I'm sure they're correct with Muve Music coming to the Huawei Ascend 2 but the tethering would be interesting. I haven't heard anything about that.

I wonder if additional data options will be coming to Cricket at the same time. They said there were going to be more options in the future so maybe tethering is one of them.

I would purchase this tethering plan if it gave me more data in general.

I would guess they would keep it separate. So, you have data for the phone, and data for tethering. That's just a guess though.

I'm curious to see what Cricket's pricing is going to be.

After thinking some more, my guess is that the Huawei Glory will be WiFi Hotspot capable, and Cricket wants to compete in that area. Since the Huawei Glory is going to be Cricket's most advanced phone, they're going to want it to have everything. Muve Music, WiFi Hotspot, everything.

That's my guess. I like to speculate.

Muve Music is a definite yes, maybe sooner than that though..

    Tethering, I don't think so.

I'd agree with both of these.

Zclusive posted about the tethering too.

    Here is what they said:

"Tethering Available on Huaweii Ascend II starting October 30th.
    1. $10 a month.
    2. Customers will be able to add tethering to their plan and use a third party application (rooting) etc. NOTE: Cricket customer care will not offer troubleshooting or support.
    3. 1G cap still applies, this will not change in any time soon
    4. Cannot talk on phone and tether devices at same time,,,, CV -_-"

    I highly doubt it's true.

The only thing that doesn't sound right to me is Cricket saying that you can use a third party application through rooting.. I don't think they would encourage you to void the manufacturer warranty. Then again Cricket can say to use PDANet, which doesn't require root if I remember correctly.

I believe it, but that might just be me hoping it is going to happen.

Cricket does not encourage you to flash or use third party apps. But in order to tether after Oct 30th you will have to add the $5 month tether feature. If you dont add the tether feature, when you try to surf the web you will be redirected to a cricket page telling you will have to add it.

How much extra data will the customer get for the $5 fee, or is it simply to allow the customer to tether? It sounds like a good deal so far.

    I can confirm this information.
The fee will be $10 monthly and will not add any additional bandwidth. 1gb still applies.

It's possible on flashed phones, but not supported in any way.

I'm thinking this is going to actually discourage tethering.

Good news though everyone, the modems are on sale!
