To do a hard reset you turn the phone off take out the battery put it back in then hold volume + and power at the same time and hold them down for a good five sec intell recovery pops up

This will only happen when you let the battery run down completely.. If you swap out phones for this reason you are not helping yourself. What I would do is email Huawei and ask them to release a patch or something that will remedy the issue.
Do you know if it had anything at all to do with what version you're running or if it was rooted or not? The same has happened to me, and I thought that I had mistakenly deleted something with root access. Do you have an estimate of how long one should wait before moving on from this theory into one much more sinister.

This is the solution. DO NOT take it to the corporate store, they will (should) simply follow these 2 steps.

Here is my solution! I had the same problem. My phone's battery was at 0% and it wouldn't turn on, hard reset, or charge. So I took out the phone's battery and plugged it in like 154-4bdu114h said. The screen turned on but when I put the battery back in, I was back at square one. So I repeated the process but this time, I didn't put the battery back in when the phone turn on to the Huawei logo, I put it in when the phone screen turned black but with little light before Muve Music plays and presto! The phone turned back on and continued charging. Hope this helps any of you but you have to be fast, you have to put the battery back in when Muve music plays if you have Muve Music.

Hi guys. I was in a panic there as my phone wouldn't switch on after charging. Did an online search and found this advice. It worked ! thank you so much.

I also just had this problem. My phone kept saying I didn't have service. I restarted it three times. I finally manually turned it off (with 15% battery) and when I tried to turn it back on, nothing. I did the charger with no battery and it turned on. So I put the battery in and it just shuts off a couple minutes later. What in the world?!
