if it's encrypted, not only would you have to find the unlock formula, you'd have to have the private key to unlock encryption which is prolly on a highly secure computer in Shenzhen, China..and the key is password protect as well and the password only stored on an off grid private thumb drive...

Works amazing!! Phone crashed at 1.9 but I'm running stable at 1.8. It vibrates several times every now and then when I unlock my phone but other than that it's perfect. I've waited so long to overclock this phone. Thanks a ton PG :-) you're awesome!

    alright really easy instructions...
turn off your phone (Make sure fast boot is turned off...fastboot is located under settings, applications. make sure that fastboot doesn't have a check next to it)
hold volume up, and volume down, and then while you're holding those press and hold power until your phone shows a pink screen (be sure you have no folders titled "dload" in your sd card)
plug the phone into your computer
open up the folder and inside should be boot, etc.
drag the extracted file into your phone.
unplug the phone and remove the battery
replace the battery, restart the phone.

I can't tell you what governor is the best, but i hope you're not trying to do this on the ics-demo for the merc, it will NOT work on that. I personally use what it came with and havn't bothered to test out the other governors. if you want information about each governor google them.

As i was saying in a thread i posted, i'm pretty much fed up, hopefully this made some difference, they did say they'd bring it foreward to huawei....not that it will matter much i don't think, granted...idk...

    "Hello Huawei,

We at Cricketusers.com that own the huawei m886/mercury are not pleased with the way you have run things.
Currently we have recieved a beta release for the ics update of our phone, HOWEVER you have told us that the official will NOT be released on your facebook page.
If you, Huawei, will not release the official firmware for our phone, then we request you release the bootloader unlock for the ics beta release on the m886/mercury.
You are REQUIRED by the gnu license that you must support these sort of things.
We are unable to make custom roms for this phone, or finish what you refuse to.
We know you are better than this, and most of us will not purchase another phone from your company if you do not promptly supply us with these requests.
We at Cricketusers.com do NOT care if this will void our warranty or not. This is the least of our worries considering this phone is no longer sold in cricket stores.
The community of cricketusers thanks you for your cooperation and will be waiting for the requested materiel.
