    I don't see how fixing permissions would get worse

    It's a demo, there's really no solution. The way it works now, is how it was meant to work, as a demo. All I can say is be patient, some devs are actually working on the Merc.

    So, which apps would be a good idea to bulletproof? the ones that are fc-ing? and what do you mean by change my screen transition?

    Doesnt the full version originate from the demo though? So it can get better, its just that we dont have the tools necessary to make it a full working demo. Its like the alpha and beta verions. First its alpha, then yu work on it some more and the beta comes out with less bugs. Right?

    I think its different with each phone, I dont know why though cuz they're suppsed to be the same. But for some people its so bad that its not usuable and some dont have probles, like TrillBill, if I remember correctly, he said he installed the V6 Supercharger and he had no lag or anything. I had a little lag bt everything worked really good. Some had force closes all the time, others its was way too laggy. Soo.. if might be the phone, not the update.

    Exactly, but this was leaked out, .of officially released and we most likely won't get a full release I'd say because Huawei needs the carrier to allow which cricket isn't doing and I'd say much less now since cricket isn't really carrying the Merc now.

    I agree 100%

    If Huawei had made an OS upgrade available to CricKet for the Mercury, CricKet would never bother releasing it. They're done with this phone. Pushing out an unnecessary update would just create more work on their side.

    This sucks. So what would be needed to make a full working update? Its a leak because someone just gave it out to the public, but we can still work on it, right? Work out the bugs? Just like another ROM. No?

    Mercury- ICS 4.0.3

    D/L'd the "dload" file and have placed the folder in the ROOT directory of my SD card.
    I go to System Setting> Storage >Software Upgrade>Upgrade Via SD Card.

    After proceeding through the UI, and clicking "Confirm" the phone just reboots as normal and nothing happen's after that.

    PS- My phone is currently running Android Version 2.3.6, has CWM Recovery and Rooted using Oriax's FastRoot method.

    Any idea's on what I should be doing differently so I can apply the upgrade correctly?

    TRIED Via SD Card:

    APPLYING UPGRADE WHILE ROOTED/ ON CWM RECOVERY
    RESULT= FAIL

    APPLYING UPGRADE WHILE UN-ROOTED/ ON CWM RECOVERY
    RESULT= FAIL

    APPLYING UPGRADE ON STOCK RECOVERY
    RESULT= FAIL

    What the hell am I missing here??

    No, It is not necessary for me to post the same problem on (3) different threads and for that I am sorry. I have just been struggling with this thing for hours and now that I have much needed rest I am better now =). Just trying to figure what methodology people are using to apply this upgrade because for the most part I don't really find the "tutorial's" to be all that informative. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
