I read the entire thread and can't see anywhere where someone has been able to root the ICS yet. Do you have a walk through compiled of just the rooting method?

Our even just the steps in this thread

Just follow the instructions on that thread. I'm already rooted and have ran the v6 supercharger as well.

    Much thanks to all of the following: Sandman45654for posting the root; tri_zet for Huawei Honor Root tools (this package);saurik for mempodroid;wraithdu for su binary fix;
FeodoR & V_P_Za ; Trill for posting the root link and last but not least HuaweiMercuryGuru because without his help on this we would not have ICS right now. Awesome job to all of you and forgive me if I left anyone out that deserves credit.
My phone is soooooooo much better now.

I also thank everyone involved. I'm glad you came to this forum to post vs elsewhere. I've heard it said in the Military before, and I'm going to say it.

Works good, no problems. Wel just one so far. "When typing, press caps few times and cycle 2 times. All letters will be in caps, as soon press a letter it is in lower calse and switches from Upper to lower after press."

During install and plugged into pc, phone shutdown after step 2 and showed battery charging. Powered back on, and was up and running within 5 minutes. Rooted, and works great.

When running System ROM Toolbox, I can't delete pre-loaded games.?.

Installed easy and works great, no flaws to me so far except tiny lag. Also NO 3g problems for me at all steady and constant!

Only thing with mine is that the bluetooth keeps turning on by itself. Does any one else have same issue?

I have a theory if someone is willing to try this out.... Before updating to ICS.

    Make a nandroid backup
    Install ICS update
    Root ICS
    Install ROM manager
Let it download the recovery by itself
    Restore prev nandroid
Should then be back to gingerbread

Problem with me trying it is i have to keep gingerbread on mine for my wife (don't ask, long story) but i can download ICS if i can get back to gingerbread anytime i want
