    if you root it, you can get rid of muve

    Same as ^ quote.....

    D/L'd the "dload" file and have placed the folder in the ROOT directory of my SD card.
    I go to System Setting> Storage >Software Upgrade>Upgrade Via SD Card.

    After proceeding through the UI, and clicking "Confirm" the phone just reboots as normal and nothing happen's after that.

    PS- My phone is currently running Android Version 2.3.6, has CWM Recovery and Rooted using Oriax's FastRoot method.

    Any idea's on what I should be doing differently so I can apply the upgrade correctly?

    TRIED Via SD Card:

    APPLYING UPGRADE WHILE ROOTED/ ON CWM RECOVERY
    RESULT= FAIL

    APPLYING UPGRADE WHILE UN-ROOTED/ ON CWM RECOVERY
    RESULT= FAIL

    APPLYING UPGRADE ON STOCK RECOVERY
    RESULT= FAIL

    What the hell am I missing here??

    First and foremost thank you for your prompt response...

    Secondly, I am have downloaded the Update files from Anthoney's Thread listed here:
    http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-...s-install.html

    The download file contained in that thread only has:

    ICS_UPDATE.rar > dload > UPDATE.APP

    there is no secondary dload folder...

    Put the UPDATE.APP file on the root of your sd card and update it through software update or power your phone off and hold both volume buttons and the power button at the same time

    Thanks Gio, So just to clarify. I do not need the UPDATE.APP to be in the dload folder but rather the file to be in the root directory itself? Because whenever I tired the software upgrade with the UPDATE.APP in the ROOT Itself it told me something about a invalid package, I have tried (2) different UPDATE.APP files with this. Neither were successful thus far.

    Also, I know that if I use the Vol UP+Vol DOWN +Power the screen will turn pink, will there be any other indicator's that the software is upgrading? flash's? reboot's? etc.?

    Do I need custom recovery?
    Do I need to be rooted?

    I think it is either volume up or volume down + power, not both.

    If it is saying invalid packet, then you probably have a bad copy

    Thanks Gio, i appreciate all your support. A couple questions and i promise to stop bugging you :-)

    Do i need to be rooted?
    Does it matter if i have stock or custom recovery?
    Do you have a DL link to the ICS update you used?
    Does the screen stay pink the while time throughout the update?

    Thanks again

    ATX, if you keep the dload folder in the root of your SD card, go to "Settings>Storage>Software Upgrade" and that will install the update to the ICS demo. You don't need to be rooted to perform this, though there is a root method available and many benefits to doing so. With this demo, we do not currently have a custom recovery available. By performing the software upgrade through the settings menu, your phone should not enter the pink screen/download mode at all.

    Vinny, thanks for your response. Whenever I perform the method you have listed above the phone just reboots and does nothing after that, i go straight to the lockscreen like i usually do... Is this normal?? Will my phone show any signs that update us being performed? Thanks again

    I only have 402mb of internal storage left, could this be the problem??
