I actually just took my mercury into cricket for the recall. All I did to my "new" mercury was put in the custom recovery, did the ICS upgrade, pulled out a lot of the bloatware, did the V6 supercharge and put Nova Launcher on and I have no problems at all. I actually didn't have any problems with my phone that I traded in, after I put the upgrade on it, but why take a chance with a phone that has known issues if you don't have to. I am very happy with ICS on this phone. No lag whatsoever, unlike with Gingerbread.

To me, you can definitely tell the difference from the start. On gingerbread, slide your desktop back and forth through each screen. It is almost twitchy. Do the same thing on I.C.S. and that twitch is gone. Even when you go into the drawer of your phone the difference is very apparent. To me the way I would compare gingerbread to I.C.S. is like watching a 60hz flat screen t.v. next to a 120hz flat screen. I don't know if that would be the best analogy, but I think you get where I am coming from. The difference to me is overwhelmingly evident.

You don't have to give the charger back, But they do take your battery and your phone obviously... They also give you a MUVE Music SD Card.. They do not need the box...

    nes said it best

I'm still not convinced with the demo ics over gb. Maybe I'm just scared of #@ckin my phone up or I really haven't had any real issues with the merc on gb.
But I must say I am tempted!

Yep, I also had to move my plan up by $5.00. Now I have muve whether I want it or not, lol. I decided to keep it, I mean why pay for something and not use it. So now I have muve, 2.5 GB of data and tethering for this upgrade. I needed to upgrade anyways cause it seemed like I burned through that 1GB of data in no time, and then the brakes are put on. Sucked big time.

I was too @ first seeing all the review's about people having problems with the communications but, you can revert to GB if you wanted to.. Give it a shot what's there to lose... I'm glad I moved to the ICS Demo!

The way I would do it. Wipe EVERYTHING format system/data . Do update. Wipe data. Boot. Wipe data. Boot. Fix permissions. DELETE not freeze apps you don't want, need. Download ZEAM or launcher pro. FASTEST launchers ever. And you should be good, 0% problems!!!!!!

Nicely said, I ran a Benchmark on the ICS 4.0.3 "Demo" and received a Quadrant score of 2338. I have not found anyone to run the benchmark score on the GB ROM yet to compare the results, Anyone on GB willing to run a benchmark?

I'd be willing since they haven't recalled my Merc Glory yet... also, how do you go about upgrading to ICS?

Gio, I tried to ride it out and stick with the demo but I couldn't get it to stop locking up on me. Every single launcher I tried locked and anything games I ran would freeze up. I actually haven't had any issues since switching back to GB, and I found out Zeam actually works for GB too.
