I feel like I have a brand new phone. It runs so smooth and fast. I cant believe how much faster this is. I dont blame you for being scared really. Only reason I did it is because I have a back up phone. I don't have any regrets so far. I will keep you updated with what happens. Never know, might regret it later.

So how exactly is this done? You put everything in a dload folder, or you install all of them one by one, what's the process?

I downloaded all the files to my computer. Extracted the first folder and put it on the sd card. Go to settings; then to upgrade; then upgrade from sd card. Wait about 15-20 minutes. It will flash the muve music screen about 3 times.I guess to just settle it in. This is when I thought it was just boot looping, so dont freak out when it does this. After that it goes to the start up screen and you just do what the prompts ask. It really suprised me but it worked.

3.0.8-perf-00140-g7518d5a is the kernel version. It doesn't appear to be rooted, ie no superuser. And no I don't know how to logcat.

Alright but you're not being precise about it, so you only use the dload folder from the first part? Then from there it tells you what to do from there and on?

Yes. Just use the dload folder from the fist part. I dont know what the purpose was in downloading all of the parts but I did download them just in case. Put the dload folder onto the sd card. Dont put it in any special folder just put it directly onto the card. "dload" folder only.
    Go to settings
    Go to updrade
Go to upgrade from sd card.
It will ask you if you want to back up, do what you feel then hit ok.
This should take you to the firmware update screen, this is where you wait.
Let it do its thing, then like I said above, dont freak out cause it will go back and forth to the same muve music screen about three times. Let it do that then follow the screen prompts. I cant be any clearer then that.
