I am not sure if you will retain root after the update or not. As i dont know how huawei structure updates. I KNOW From experience with ACER on my a500 tablet the voodoo rootkeeper never works as acer does full app/system checks when installing a update and will fail if it finds any changes.
so i would not tell you either way safe or not. If you have custom recovery do a backup and move it off your phone before you apply the ota. atleast you would have that .

I know there's no magic bullet. Well, as they said: if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Hehehe. Think I'll hold off updating for now.

    Thanks so much, nonetheless.

Once in recovery, does it say Salas or just cwm based recovery? I replaced the recoveries and rebooted holing vol up and power, then ran the unroot zip. Am I missing something here? It said on the unroot process I was now unrooted but all my root apps still work and root checker says I'm still rooted. I appreciate your feedback.
