Just shot a message to oriax123 notifying ( him/her) of the problem with the links, seems to happen sometimes but oriax123 usually will post a new/repaired link pretty quick!

If I rooted using the Linux method, would it be possible to unroot with this method or could it screw something up?

If I were to install a custom Rom (revokster) and then reinstall my backup, is the backup of the rooted rom or does it default to pure factory?

    BTW, thanks much!

I have the recovery.img file...and I can get into the CWM-based recovery. How do i go back to stock?

i am stuck at the "Touch the Android to begin" screen...after doing a factory reset on my rooted phone (using the Easy flash method for the mercury).

    thank you

When you first used CWM recovery, one of the options was to BACKUP...assuming you did that you just need to pick that option again and RESTORE, it should display the file(s) with the date to restore from...if you didn't, well wait for better advice...

If you're new to all this, the RECOVERY.IMG is basically a program that will allow you to backup or flash new stuff like ROMS onto your phone, it isn't the actual ROM.

You might be better off, I got a new mercury today with the Muve and flashed the "optimized stock 2.3.6" and everything works great. Had to update a few apps etc, but follow the instructions and read the title page at least so you won't have any problems.

The unroot works for any method you rooted with as it simply deletes the files needed for root.

I'd you reinstall your backup it'll be exactly how it was before flashing the rom.
