How would one possibly unroot this device in order to return for repairs?

You don't use either of those. You have chosen to not read this...

I hate to admit but it took me a while. Reason being when I replaced image file I expected some kind of confirmation. The rest of the process was smooth. Was able to use titanium backup just like on my old huawei ascened. Thank you very much for doing this

Finally got it. Yes, it was right in front of me but took a second to get it. Thanks very much for this. I'm new to smartphones so I apologize. You rock for making this. I'll be sure to donate.

Hi, I bought a Huawei Honor (U8860) directly from China. It comes equipped with Android 4.0.

I heard Mercury/Glory and Honor are the same phone. Only Honor is GSM based. Am I right?

Can I root my phone using the method outlined in this thread?

    Thanks in advance.
