I flashed ICS to my phone today (again). It went through okay, but no root. So, I went through the steps outlined here. I got a "failed - virus detected warning" on the file from the OP, but extracted and continued anyway. Sadly, I still have no root.
The message I got back after running root-me:
cannot stat 'mempodroid': No such file or directory
    1500 KB/s (18432 bytes in 0.012s)
    40 KB/s (83 bytes in 0.002s)
    92 KB/s (284 bytes in 0.003s)
    3778 KB/s (843503 bytes in 0.218s)
Unable to chmod /data/local/tmp/mempodroid: No such file or directory
    /data/local/tmp/root1.sh[2]: /data/local/tmp/mempodroid: not found
What did I do wrong? Did I download an archive with missing tools? I wasn't able to download the self-extracting one. (i.e., The download for this file has not been enabled. Only the user who uploaded it, can enable the download option.).

Update: I d/ed the missing mempodroid from
    here

. Used adb push mempodroid /data/local/tmp to get it to my phone, and ran boot-me again. I now have root, verified through
    Root Checker

    .
    Yeah!

    Cool Root ics it worked

    mad props go out to:

tri_zet for huawei honor root tools (this package)
    saurik for mempodroid
    wraithdu for su binary fix
    feodor & v_p_za

thanks for all your hard work guys!

    How to:

    1. Install adb drivers. They're on the phone here when you first plug in usb.

    Attachment 3224

    2. Uncompress the rar file with winrar.
    3. Enable adb debugging (system settings/developer options)
    4. Run "root-me"
    5. Reboot phone

i've made a self extracting installer which can be found
    here

    .
It adds a desktop shortcut and helps ensure that huawei honor root tools is installed in a proper file path.

thanks bro i just got rooted on huawei mercury running 4.0.3
it really worked i got rooted under 20 secs after running the rootme command
    again thanks a lot bro.

It's the USB debugging, it just allows you to use ADB when it's on.

Go into that virtual cd rom and then

    Attachment 3226

    then

    Attachment 3227

    and lastly

    Attachment 3228

This will install the adb drivers.

Next after installing Winrar extract the rar file by right clicking and choosing extract to .......

    Attachment 3229

go into the folder it just created and run "root-me"

    Attachment 3230

When that finishes reboot the phone and you should be good to go!
Why don't I have the Handset WinDriver? Can anyone help me?
