    All merc users with ICS

I've gotten a new and rekindled love for my mercury. At first, I was fed up with ICS. It was laggy & buggy as all (edit), it just wasn't efficient. So, I decided to go back to GB. As I was attempting to perform the downgrade process, I messed up and it just ended up reflashing the ICS update. I was tired so I said screw it and just kept ics and rooted it before I went to sleep. That morning, I used TB to reinstall my apps. A lot of my apps had to do with photo editing because I don't own my own laptop, so I use my phone to edit pics...but as I was going through my apps list I decided I didn't need 90% of em because 2 of them did everything I needed. So I restored only necessary apps, removed as much bloatware as I could and got to playing around with it. Its been a week of no lag (literally, NONE), no FCs (with the exception of instagram which always happened on GB *shrugs*) and faster browsing speeds, oh and I also have a few extra apps installed so it's not like you can only have a couple of apps on the phone for optimal performance. Now, the moral of the story is simply this, go through your apps, pick out ones you need, back em up, and reflash the update. I'm not sure whether I just got lucky, or if it works for all. I hope it works for you.

Looks like that might be the way to go, since it looks like we may not get a official upgrade to ics.

Yeah smh I heard about that. I'm tired of Huawei. My next phone if I have to stay on Cricket is gonna be the One V...or maybe the GS3 if my grades are good enough... or if I get a job, whichever comes first lol maybe even the iPhone 5.

Maybe we can get some good development out of the source code.

I guess the Merc really isn't getting the ICS update since it's up to Cricket, and well Cricket doesn't even carry the Merc no more.

I suspected the reply they made to me in a post I made to them.

Yeah, it seems as if Cricket stopped our update. Maybe they thought that if the Merc had ics it might hurt sales of the One V and/or the Zte phone.

Hmm never thought about it that way, but it most likely might be for that reason. Although, I don't understand why they wouldn't let the update go if they're not even gonna sell it anymore.

Hopefully, the devs can work something out with the source.
