lol well I just meant for security reasons, not saying I dont trust cricket employee's but may as well wipe the phone, google syncs the contact list by default anyhow so wont be an issue retrieving them on the replacement merc.

So I just picked up my replacement Merc from my local corporate store, and I noticed the SIM card slot is open and available on this new handset. Just sayin'.

No sh*t? Awesome. Also, can't get pink screen on updated handset to replace recovery.img with CWM. Any ideas?

This happened a long time ago too. Dealers reported the sim slot open.

I've pulled the battery and tried to boot into download mode like 10 different times, every single time it throws me into a firmware update.

I don't know really why people are so worried about this, the mercury is nearing the end of life IMO, it's almost a year old lol

I don't really have the option of switching to a newer, higher spec phone or a commitment. I've been really happy with the Merc, just want to play with it and I need it to last me for a while. That's my $.02 on the phone at least.
