Saves to sd for me. Not the "internal" sd but the "external " or the one that the eu can actually replace.

    Huawei Mercury

Hi Everyone, this is my first post. Although I followed this website pretty excessively while waiting for the Mercury to come out. I wasn't going to go with Huawei again (I had the first Ascend) as I was a little ticked that they didn't support the consumers by updating the Ascend to at least 2.2, so I could move apps to the memory card. I LOVE the Mercury, it is SO much better then the Ascend. There have been a few things that I haven't been able to figure out though. I apologize if someone already discussed them but I didn't see anything when I searched around.
    1. I have now downloaded over 160 apps, which appears to be the limit when viewing them in the app drawer. I know they are there as I can put them in a folder with Folder Organizer, but is there a way to view them? It just has a red circle with "13" in it, indicating I have 13 more. I know that's a lot of apps but I was excited to be able to have so many now, thanks to moving them to an external memory card.
    2. Is there a way to move apps from my Huawei Ascend (Android 2.1) to my Mercury? Maybe over the computer somehow? There are some apps on it (that I can still use) that aren't available on the market anymore that I want on my Mercury. Especially the gaming ones where I can now use multi-touch.

    1. TRy a different launcher, like Go Launcher, Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher. They may not have the 160 limit.
    2. Get an app called MyAppSharer. You can send apps (apk files) to your phone that way via bluetooth. Works great.

Thanks Woof! I'll definitely check those out. Also thanks for the videos you posted before the Mercury came out.

Yes it is. If you can pinch to zoom its multitouch.

Oh I meant it doesnt acknowledge any more than 2 presses at a time, some devices will allow a lot more as seen here

Certain games aren't available in the android market because of it such as Cross Fingers which is one of my favorites on Ipod Touch.

Although from what I've read the Ascend 2 had multi touch support added with a custom rom after being rooted, perhaps the same can happen with the Mercury.

It had it because the kernal specifically said no multitouch but the phone was able to do it. Ours already has it enabled...

My bad, I didn't realize there were android devices that only handle 1 press at a time so I was under the assumption 2 was the minimum and anything higher was multitouch. There are android models that recognize a lot more than 2 points of contact at a time.
