Yes, your apps are tied to your Gmail/Google account. You will have to download them again, but you won't have to pay.

My screen is cracked too, and I asked the phone rep if it was a problem when I go to the local store for the exchange, she said "absolutely not". I'll let you know if the result is any different when I go do it. I dropped my phone (in a case) the 2nd day I had it and got a nice 1 inch crack in the corner, luckily still worked and don't notice it when looking at the screen, but maybe that's the trade off with Gorilla glass, harder usually means more brittle.

I swapped my phone out this Monday of this week. All that I could really tell a difference in was I got a muve music card and on the inside where the battery goes, there is a port that used to be covered under the battery that isn't covered anymore and from what I've heard doesn't serve a purpose anyways. The dealer told me that they were being changed out due to hardware issues. As for everything else, just like the one I bought. Same OS, same color, etc. Before changing phones, I did restore it to the way I got it and cleared out personal info. You never know what the dealer is going to do with the phone once its in their hands.

Well, I just swapped my phone, cracked screen and all, for the new one, but it wasn't without some issues. The main problem was that Cricket sent it to a private, not corporate store, so they didn't know they could accept a cracked screen phone. After a half hour and some phone calls, they managed to get it done.
