He eventually said that 12/15 indeed was the target date for the release of the 'Mercury'; "but could be delayed as late as March"(I don't think so)
He probably just wanted you to know that it could be delayed. From what others said, it should be here very soon. My guess is on or around 12/15, like mentioned before.

I did hear that some markets don't throttle, but I'm not sure if that has changed or not.

After I've hit 1 GB, I still see the 3G icon, and it's still on 3G EVDO, but my speeds are just slow. My guess is it will be the same way with the Huawei Mercury. It will still be on 3G, but won't be at the full speeds.

I don't know where the Huawei Glory name came from, but I think Huawei is the one that named the phone the "Honor". I guess Cricket just decided to change it to "Mercury". I don't know the reason why though.

While no one really knows for sure, the following scenario seems most likely. "Glory" was likely an Huawei internal name for the development project of the phone, project names are not necessarily the exact name of the product for example it can be the "goal" of the project. The manufacturer will also have different names for same project with hardware changes. So if changes were made for the Cricket version of this phone, which likely there were hardware changes made to make it compatiable with the Cricket networks this could also explain why the Cricket version is the Mercury vs Honor. Honor could also be the name for the european version of the product. Hope that sheds a little light on the topic.

    That's definitely all possible.

If Cricket kept the Huawei Honor name people would probably get confused with the GSM version.

Also, it can be the same phone, with the same specifications, but still have different names. For example, the Samsung Admire on MetroPCS is the Samsung Vitality on Cricket. It's the same phone, with the same specifications, but just a different name. I'm thinking that decision was on the carrier. They did keep the name on the HTC Wildfire S (and so did Virgin Mobile, and other carriers) so that makes me think that sometimes the manufacturer wants the name of the phone to stick even with different carriers.

Of course this is all just speculation. Like you said, we don't really know.
