    It should have DLNA.

I didn't do enough research on it. You can share music, videos, etc. I'm not sure if you can show exactly what is on your phone's screen on the TV or not. That's what I would want.

My words exactly!! Gonna have to look up this!

Ok so a breif search came up with www.dlna.org. so a brief review it appears that yes you can plug into tv and share video but the TV will also have to have DLNA. Good lord, to many standards!!! I was just getting ready to upgrade my TV to HDMI. Now i just may have to wait

DLNA just equates to a new wireless sharing protocol, the newest in a long line. It is being intergated into many entertainment devices, Blu-ray/media players, game consoles, TVs, PCs, even refridgerators (dont ask me on that one LOL). I really wouldn't worry about it, you will still be able to recover and place things on the phone via USB and your PC (either wired or directly to your microSD card via a card reader) or wireless apps such as "Dropbox" and like too. Also I have heard from a couple of different reviews on the web that the phone will incorporate some kind of built in "cloud storage" down the road (likely with the ice cream sandwich update), this info comes from sources at Huawei not Cricket so who knows, but it is interesting anyway. Likely by the time the update hits the phone, people will be a lot less interested in the phone anyway. Read a really interesting article about why it takes so long for the android updates to actually hit your phones, will link below for your reading pleasure. =)

Huawei Device (the official facebook page for Huawei mobile devices) has indicated that the Honor is ICS ready. Which I would think indicates their intent to update it at some point, if I remember the only thing they said is "it would be sometime after January" which can essentially mean....well any time after January...so not much help there...but as the article stated, first the manufacturer has to do all the certifications then it is passed on to carrier for their modifications and each time they change anything every piece of hardware effected by the change has re-undergo certification again, so God knows when the Cricket version will see it.

I would however be willing to bet that both Huawei and Cricket will give it some level of priority to stay competitive with other phones offered by other carriers.

So, from what I've read, and what you said, it looks like it's mainly file sharing.. What I would like is to be able to view on the TV exactly what is on the phone's screen. I guess that is only possible with HDMI right now.

Well there are apps in the market place that use DLNA to create a media stream from your phone to say a PC or something. But when you start talking about streaming your live display on the phone vs an already existing file, it becomes more of an issue of having enough processor power to capture and encode and then stream a live display, and with what I know about that it seems unlikely that any phone available today has the kind of horsepower you'd need to that...

I know that there have been people with simular questions on other boards about using certain propritery "sports" viewing apps and trying to do the same thing and the concensus seems to be that it is not currently possible to do it that way. But heck...new tech everyday...so shortly down that road...maybe.

I wouldn't need it to stream wirelessly, but I guess the idea of DLNA is to do it without wires. I guess I just like the idea of HDMI better.

It was said on the forum it might be coming around December 15th which is before Christmas. I was surprised it wasn't out by Black Friday.
