anyone know the answer to this?

I havne't updated my phone since I bought it. maybe 4 months ago I ignored Cricket's "mandatory update".

could that be why my MMS doesn't work (if it does it's extremely slow) most of the time? Yes, I know you can't be on Wifi.

You would need to unroot, OP. Are you running your stock rom or the newly updated stock rom that Mkakemon posted a few weeks back? If you're running Mkakemon's stock rom, you need his stock recovery.img he posted as well. As far as unrooting, if you used Oriax123's FastRoot tool, the same sticky has his FastUnroot. In order for the update to work, all of the bloatware needs to be installed as well. There are a few other threads that detail instructions on how to do this properly. Ericarenee explained it pretty well in the 7-7-12 Stock Backup thread.

You basically need everything stock again to update it. You should use the backup one of the users here posted up of his stock rom, then update it with the stock img he put up as well, and that should do it. Worked for me and as well other people.

Did it fix all your guys issues? I can't send or receive a damn mms even on 3g... I never have dropped 3g issues

I'm on 2.3.6-oriax123 which I thought was a slightly modified stock rom with no bloatware

After booting this stock back up along with the most recent update, my Merc runs better than it ever has since I bought it in February.
