Dont root the mercury if your noobs at it!!!

I had someone tell me to not scream "don't root your phone" without having a reason not to do it. So I decided to scream and tell you and warn you if you don't know anything about rooting a phone DONT DO IT! My friend bricked his phone the same day he got it and he had to pay for another full price. I'm just speaking from what I know. Please don't take any offense to what I'm saying! I am not trying to control your life or tell you what to do with your phone its just a suggestion. If you want to root your phone then that's on you and I really don't care if you do. But be careful following tutorials on YouTube cause if you do it wrong you can screw up your phone. That's all I'm saying mate. This is for noobs only not you professional hackers and I mean that with respect... Thank you

Ive never rooted a phone but when I read about being able to freeze stock apps with Titanium backup (to free up resources & background data usage) that was good enough reason for me, I followed the Root method sticky and everything went smoothly.

I have been messing with some new icons and notification icons as well as changing colors on the lock screen and the generic app icons. as well as removing the cricket logo in the notification pull down and some softer colors over all. I have flashed my phone/changing the system ui.apk and a few other tweaks . Thanks to using ORIAX Scripts .(THANKS HOPE YA DO NOT Mind)If i get something presentable I will post. Still have 100 or so images to work thru in Photo shop. Its slow worK. Since i messed up my hand. (USING MY NEW INTUOS 4 GRAPHIC TABLET now allows me to draw again .but still painful)

ON TOPIC. WITH all the above flashing i have done. I have had my phone boot looping 30 Or so times in the past week or so. just back to recovery and restore my backup and off i go again.
I only touch what i know about .

i will have to agree with original post. don't root any phone unless; 1.you are willing to void your warranty 2. don't care if there is a chance your phone turns into a brick 3. you are comfortable using the tools/process/following a tutorial to actually root the phone.
