    Google Now for ICS?

Can anyone explain to me how I can get Google now on ICS? I looked on XDA but it wasn't much help. I need a DEVs assistance

Follow the instructions for the thread on XDA. Which shouldn't be hard to find.

As far as I can see Trill, we can't get it. The xda walkthrough requires we have CWM, or install as a system app. I tried to install the system app method and it would only freeze or FC on me.

I did spend a lot of time trying to get it to work on my ics on the merc, however the most i could get was the cards to show up. could not use speech, could not even type in there, tbh i couldn't even click the card without it freezing on me. you're best off not getting it. only reason the cards showed up for me was because they where syncd with my google nexus 7.

however i will most certainly say that google ears does in fact work fine on the mercury. about 40 billion times faster then that of soundhound, if that's what you're into.

it should end up working when cm9 is released, however at this very moment it will not work on the ics version of the mercury simply because it does not have cwm or twrp. or any other custom recovery.

Google now is not worth all its hype.. I have it on my Nexus 7 its not worth the effort to try and port it. Just my opinion.

Are you suggesting that the CM team is going create a cm9 build for the Merc? I think they're onto cm10, and I don't know if anyone is going to do a port for cm9 or 10 for the merc. I think hopes for Google Now are becoming a distant dream...?
