he ics update flashed a new secure boot loader on your phone.. you can use the pst software to flash a stock huawei image to the phone .. this is the only option you have.. if you have the ics image it will work as well..

known issue all over this forum...

No. I had a custom rom flashed on mine, and this is the exact same thing that happened to mine. It doesn't matter whether you have a custom rom or not. I don't know about the original download, but these new files are just not reliable. May not happen to everyone, but it's getting bad.

I tried using the pst tool on mine, that also would not recognize my phone at all. If you can find a fix for this, please share.

Do the update back to Gingerbread. Put the files on your SD card as you're suppose to and flash it by the way you brought the pink screen.

90% chance your phone is bricked, to determine if hard or soft after next few attempts.

I've never found a proper solution into fixing this issue. I called eSecuretel and had it replaced.

Yeah it really sucks. I loved my merc. But my one v is ok for now. At least its got ics. I also picked up a nexus 7, which I'm typing this on right now. Pretty sweet. Gonna add the nexus 4 soon. Might be a few months though.

I had the same exact issue, I just downgraded to GB, even if it tells yu the same thing, the computer will recognize it, install Knives-and Forks, that should help the computer recognize the device easier, then just change all of the contents in the image folder in your computer to the ones that are in UPP. That helped me out. I would suggest keeping it in GB if yu want to mess with it. Otherwise keep ICS but dont do anything to the phone, just debloat it.
