    From what others are saying I would say yes. What I am wondering is if you can still extract apps through TBP from the gingerbread backup to an ics rom.

    it did not wipe my sd card.. But i do suggest taking it out backing it up then wiping . I did this 2nd time around and os ran much faster with new install of all my apps

    I'd say backup your internal and wipe it if there's an option available. Do same for external card. If exd card was partitioned used parted or similar to restore to a single partition.

    Turns out it does NOT erase the internal sdcard, however, it does create an empty folder named music_HWUserData and changes the HWUserData folder to sdcard2.

    use root explorer or ES file for saving apps

    if i were to do this i would have root explorer or es file explorer transfer my apps.. i NEVER put my apps on the internal..
    for every app ill ever own i have created an apk folder in my sd for situations like upgrades and whatnot

    My apps weren't on internal. I use internal sd (2.03GB) to hold all my music since I'm at the mercy of the Muve Music 1GB sd card right now, but like I said. Internal sd was NOT effed with during the upgrade. I used File Expert to back up my apps 2 sd. :-)
