    Mercury Battery Issue

Just got my mercury march 3rd. but i've been having major battery issues with it since the day i got it. if i play a game, or use an app, for about 5 minutes or so, the battery gets extremely extremely hot, and i usually lose 15 to 20% of battery. also if i have my phone on standby or in my pocket or something, the battery gets extremely hot and wastes a lot of power. last night i stopped charging it at around 2 and it had 97%. when i woke up at 8, it was at 43%. should i just get a new battery, or is this a phone issue?

It could be battery or a Rogue app..

    try this..
    1. Get Air Push Detector from the market . If this detects anything Delete the app it detects or change the apps settings to NOT PUSH /PULL DATA.
    2. DOWNLOAD advanced task killer app.. Go into its setting and turn all AUTO KILL AUTO RUN SETTINGS OFF .This will avoid it from working against the built in management in the phone.
Open the app and LOOK AT WHAT IS RUNNING..
Reboot your phone.. And look at what is running. Not difference in apps not running after reboot.
now The important part . Using advanced task killer. Kill all apps. Then let the phone set for 20 minutes or so . DO NOT USE IT . Then see what apps START Themselves. The apps that start themselves should be ONLY System apps and apps you have syncing data. If you find a app that you do not use launch itself. DELETE THAT APP Or change its settings to NOT PUSH DATA SYNC OR START ITSELF..
If this does not work it could be battery or phone. Maybe a factory reset could also help
    GOOD LUCK

Looks like the phone is working as it should from your post
I cant say for sure. But if the battery is not to expensive i BELIEVE i would try another battery.I know my phone gets quite hot when using gps and when i was doing backup and installing apps with wifi running on battery. But i get AWESOME Battery life..

I Would think a battery would be 20.00 or less..

Let us know how it goes .
