Looking to move on from the mercury. I have to phones in mind. First one the Motorola DROID A855 or the Sprint HTC EVO 4G. Any recommendations?

Both of those are actually downgrades from the Merc(spec wise)

I've heard different. But everyone has the own opinion.

Evo 3D or 4G. The 3D can be a bit of a pain to root, but I still love mine.

The 4G destroys the battery. And my merc was faster than my friends Evo (on 3g) and has a better camera.

The Mercury is great, why would you switch to a flashed phone?

The HTC EVO 4G has a slower 1Ghz CPU vs. Mercury's 1.4Ghz, EVO has a larger 4.3" screen, Rest of the specs are the same.

But I'm not sure why you'd even consider a Droid A855 over the Mercury, It's a 2009 model and has a much slower CPU (550Mhz), a smaller 3.7" screen and only 256MB system ram which will affect overall performance, I'd remove this one from the list lol.

Besides the fact that the Merc at the moment is at a development standstill, there really is nothing bad about the phone.
That being said however, I personally enjoy my evo3d, and was even looking at getting the s3 or a better phone overall.
Heard good things about the 4g, and it really wasn't much harder to flash than my 3d.
