    OCing

How would I go about OCing my merc? I see people saying they're at 1600Mhz but I'm at 1401..I've tried SetCPU and rom toolbox but I can't get past 1400. What exactly are the benefits of OCin though? Can anyone elaborate?

salas was asking you to link to the place people say they are overclocking. no post = no proof. the only way to overclock any phone is with a "custom kernel" and there are none for the mercury.
