    Unhappy Play Store force close

Hey everyone. I'm having an issue with the google play store force closing. So far i've tried:

    • clearing data and force closing
    • clearing cache
    • repairing permissions with Rom Toolbox
    • Uninstalling and reinstalling a downloaded APK file from XDA
    • rebooting
    • cursing
    • giving up hope

    Does anyone have any insight?

Have you tried clearing out the data of the playstore and the google service framework?

I'm running the ICS demo that was posted up a while back. Nestoh, I did try rebooting after clearing data/cache. Gio, I did mention that I'd already downloaded and installed a new APK that was found over at XDA (after deleting the old app with Rom Toolbox). I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and try factory reset. I'll mess around for another day or so. Has anyone tried factory reset in this ICS demo yet? I still have the upacked dload folder if worse comes to worse.

If you deleted the play store apk of the system/app folder, a factory restore won't put it back.

    Update:
Factory reset totally jacked my phone up. The keyboard is enormous and most of it is off screen, the launcher won't run, I don't even know what other kinds of problems are going on... I'm loading the dload folder back to sd now. Just gonna pink screen it.
