Random stuff I found for the Merc

    Boredom is my enemy......

First I found an update to Huawei's File manager, then found a nice little add-on that Huawei offers, cloud storage. Its only 5 Gigs, but hey, I like free storage, lol.

NOTE: also installed both files on my evo3d and i have access to the huawei cloud storage on that phone, but you MUST install both apk's (install file manager first, then the cloud apk)

    -Cloud

then i found this apk that is basically another app store and it is mainly in chinese, but I found that it has all the updates to the stock huawei apps (i know not many of you use them, but i do) -

thru that store i found DXHome, which I am currently using as my launcher. I have found this launcher interesting and has many goodies built in so i thought i would just share with everyone here.

it seems to be MIUI styled launcher with tools like app2sd, battery optimizers, cache cleaner, boot manager and others built in. i'll just let the screenshots speak for themselves

One of the features i like is being able to stack apps in the app drawer (pictures 2, 17 and 18)

you can still make stacks on home pages, but i like my home pages to be a bit cleaner

Rites, this is an awesome find. I'm new to the whole andriod thing and I can tell you as far as launchers I have tried go and nova and got rid of them right away, but this DX home is awesome and free! Once installed should I get rid of 2D launcher or something? Sorry, I'm a noob

2d home can't be disabled, and i havent tried to force it off my phone with titanium or rom toolbox (seems people that tried these methods are the ones having issues with ICS, so i dont mess with it). i just have dxhome as my main (default) launcher.

i really like the additions that can be installed (at least the ones that are translated anyway, lol) like the battery manager and the toolbox which has so many options built in (even has a benchmark tool, lol)

glad you like it, as for me, i'm downgrading back to GB to test out the kernel PG just released, then i'll see if i can put dxhome back into it. anything else i find useful will be posted up here as i find them

@Rites, let me know if this launcher can be used on GB...I am having lag issues with my Merc and I have one of the newer ones (2 months ago). Probobly doesn't help that I haven't rooted and supercharged and I have like 80 added apps. Opps lol. I really like the added apps that came with DX a lot. Are you rooted and supercharged?

@Gio Are you having issues with removing them or anthing else from ICS? (Radio Shack, twitter, ect.)

honestly dont have any issues at all with ICS, and mine is only rooted, not supercharged. like i said i'm downgrading to GB only cuz i wanna play with the kernel PG posted. will let you know if DXHome works on it, will be going to GB today

UPDATE: yes dxhome runs on GB, and with PGs kernel, it runs very smooth
