    I wouldnt know about ICS as I dont have a mercury anymore, Also if your trying to get the recovery from the honor to the glory then your out of luck because the mercury is locked once you upgrade it to ICS. Rooting is somewhat the same for all devices

    No...that's not what i was after, and i knew that. i've known that since...a very very long time actually. been tossing around ideas to get it unlocked actually. I was talking about the original root and recovery methods, they're done the exact same way for both ics and gingerbread.

    Should make it clear than,

    Rooting should be the same (as most huawei devices), but the recovery wont work for ICS until the bootloader is unlocked. There are other ways around this as making a rom for it without cwm but it involves scripts n such.

    As far as unlocking the bootloader I have an idea that could work so ill try that when I have time.
