    Stock Mercury Recovery (2.3.5) Update.zip?

So to access the recovery menu on stock Mercury, remove battery for 15s. Then hold home (house) + vol up + power button til menu pops up. Can someone make an update.zip with root pretty Plz?? :-) Thanks in advance.

did you brick your phone? lol well if thats the case follow the "unbrick unroot" thread, then you can root using either by installing this :
    Update.zip

through recovery or going to here:http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-...cury-easy.html to root.

No my phone isn't bricked. I just haven't rooted or attemped to root but the Linux stuff is a lil advanced for me. If I apply this update from recovery, will I have root?

you can't fix that. well maybe you can lol. but a stock recovery and a custom recovery are different. mostly by the way things are signed. thats why we need a CUSTOM recovery to flash a CUSTOM package :P ... but yeah you know more than me, i think u can figure something out

sent ya a pm lol also you said you needed to be rooted to install the custom recovery you made correct? but why is that since your able to change the recovery.img before you root it? so maybe we can add the recovery first then flash the root script and should work. Maybe/maybe not since i dont have one to play with and is all in my head lol
