All I did is, buy a new Merc, change recovery to CWM, backup stock rom, and linked it here.

Lol, I thought that was funny too, but I don't think I would try it, if it was someone else's post. I'm chicken like that too. I can't afford bricking another phone. So far I like the updates, voice text works perfectly, that is a big plus for me alone.

All you would need to do is just do a restore via CWM to see if everything is working. I can always reflash Revokster if needs be, and I have a new phone coming on Monday anyway. Going to be selling the Merc.

Can you get to recovery or download mode?

I should think that if you can get to download mode, you could restore files using Ubuntu 10.04.

Oh man, I'm sorry, I thought that this would be easy. Just a backup of my stock system, right out of the box.

Did you install the custom recovery, then do the backup from there?

    Just a thought.

OK, lets ignore the fact that I bricked the phone out of my own stupidity, cause I fixed it. Good news is the restore worked perfectly. There are a few thing that must be done to get it going right.

    1. Open the Backup.zip and find the folder 12-07-07.00.43.33
    2. Place this file on your SD card under Clockworkmod/Backup
    3. Boot to CWM and go to the backup and restore option, hit restore, select 12-07-07.00.43.33 select yes
    4. Once CWM has finished, select reboot system
    5. Once booted, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING!!!
Go to Setting>Privacy>Factory Reset. Select yes to the prompts and let it run
    6. Once factory reset is done, open the dialer and call *228 (this will reprogram the phone and get your data working)
    7. Done! Thanks to Mkakemon for the restore file.

I do not see a file named 2012-07-07.00.43.33.

I do see a directory with that name. Is that what you mean?

I've pulled the zip, temporarily. I will fix and repost asap, sorry for the inconvenience.
