If I didn't have problems with my phone, I probably would have done little more than root it. I started trying new ROM's because of the problems. The new ROM's didn't cause the random reboots, LOS, voice search problems, etc.

I had problems with this phone from day 1. I am just glad it looks like most of them are resolved. As far as CIQ goes, I haven't tried to remove it. I don't like it, but I depend on my phone too much to play around with it. If I come across a tried and test way to remove, I might begin to think about removing it.

I found an app on the market called CIQ Process Killer. It disables the iqmsd process. I'm just not sure if that will totally disable CIQ since CIQ is updated.

As for this roms backup, I'm sticken with it (cause it all works) till a stable ICS roms comes out.

I might try a CIQ remover if someone makes one and it doesn't cause errors or bootloops..

Interesting, So this isn't a backup of the latest firmware after all?

I'm currently running Oriax123's Optimized 2.3.6 ROM and it shows a 6/06/12 update on the Firmware update page:

Ok Thanks for the info, this confirms the backup is from the latest firmware (6/6/12).

No problems with MMS either? (sending pictures).

MMS and everything else has been working just fine. Haven't tried V6 or any removers. Happy being rooted and running stable. Ha.

The only thing that I found that doesn't work is the Facebook app. But I don't use it so that's ok. Just can't find it in Tibu to remove it. Sofar I have removed the 2 games, documents to go, books, play TV/movies. I think that's all sofar. Just trying to get rid of junk and stuff I will never use. And sofar no problems.

I get MD5 mismatch in CWM when trying to restore this. The file hashes are all correct when looking at each file in windows.

Keep in mind many apps rely on stock api to function. For example i use calengoo but still need calendar for apps like Ecid to work. Just a heads up.

I figured it out, The file ".android_secure.vfat.tar" was missing the "." in front of the filename, It restored no problem after renaming it. Seems fine so far and it's pretty snappy.

I ran the Quadrant and Antutu benchmarks before and after restoring, surprisingly this stock backup scored slightly higher in both tests vs. my previous Revokster install, although in real world use I cant tell any difference I was just surprised the stock rom feels as smooth being its loaded with bloatware & has more running services.
