    Swapper Enabled Kernel?

So I been hearing that it is actually possible to use your SD card's free space as part of your ram, but the requirements for this is that you have a swapper enabled kernel. Can anyone explain this to me? (Yes sorry for the noob question)

everything i read about using sdcard free space as RAM causes VERY FAST degradation of your sdcard. I personally would not recommend it.

read up on swapper and swapper 2 on xda developers, then if still interested you could use swapper 2 pretty much on any kernel.
