    just ppl VOICING there opinion =p last i look we have the freedom of speech =O
    "Voicing their opinion" is fine and all, but remember that "freedom of speech" does not apply to privately owned message boards like this one.

    Either way, I think $10 is quite cheap compared to the other carriers to cover the tethering charge.

    Maybe that's just me.

    Its. SHE SHE. And nobody here has said one thing about a hack for tethering. Not sure why you think android related information is not welcome on this site. I have not personally attacked anyone as you just done me.

    @Matt and a few others:
    If moderators think posts like this are a problem, it would simply be removed.

    Like it or not, it's a valid point that Cricket is upsetting many customers by doing this and they might consider weighing whatever extra profit (and it's pure profit) they're bringing in vs pushing customers away or angering them unnecessarily (Netflix understands this now). If no one ever does or says anything, then nothing will ever change.

    I understand some people are a little fearful of upsetting any perceived authority figure and it shines through with their posts and I'm sure in other aspects of their lives, but I feel compelled to kick the soapbox out from under them anytime they go off the rails.

    @ erica & nubecak, i completely agree. I feel as if theyre jus getting more greedy, and wanting more of all our money for something we all ready pay for data! & if the mods didnt like what these posts said they would rid of them.

    There was already a thread about this about 2 months ago:

    Try out those methods.

    Wireless Tethering isn't worth it on Cricket, tethering would easily eat 1gb of data

    Of course, but many have laptops and would like to connect on the road sometimes either for work or whatever. For me, some months I'm working in the field and tethering was really convenient, it's not worth $10 a month because some months I don't need it at all.

    I've never had a need to tether yet. What ticks me off is when I turn on data (wifi is off) to try to go to a website and Cricket just assumes for no reason that I'm tethering.

    And if a bunch of people at Leap Wireless/Cricket Wireless is monitoring these forums, or any forums, I'm sure they are more then happy to see a bunch of dedicated users who are giving out free knowledgeable technical support and helping make their service better. Every company knows the "hackers, phreakers, and tweakers" might get a few extras but support their services by advancing products and helping others... for the most part. For example, some people only will buy a phone once there is a custom ROM for it.
