    Angry Trouble activating Huawei Mercury

I bought this phone from someone off Craigslist. It had said it had never been used and still in box. Yesterday I went to the cricket store to try to change my current phone to this one and they said it was still on another account. i contacted the person i bought it from and he said he would get it disconnected off by the morning. i have texted and called him a few times with no response can anyone help me? is there anyway around this?

Unfortunately not. You can wait until he decides to go down to the store and have it disconnected or wait until he does not pay the bill. If he fails to pay the bill, then you will have to wait 30 days past his due date before you will be able to activate it.

Of course, the other hope is he didn't report it lost/stolen. If he did or does that, then the phone is useless. The best bet would try to get him to meet you at a Cricket store and have him disconnect it with you standing there. ANY store can disconnect a line now. They may need to their support desk, but they can get it done for you.
