What phone are you upgrading from?

If you're planning on upgrading to the Huawei Mercury, what phone will you be upgrading from?

Sanyo Zio, which was surprisingly a step up from my last phone which had to be charged with a method involving careful placement of wires against the battery terminals and the battery posts on the phone. At least the Zio I can plug in. Though I pretty much have to keep it plugged in because the battery is awful.

Sanyo Zio...this phone was good at the time until it started to break down on me over the months.

There isn't much I can do with this phone and is slow as hell!

Can't wait for the blazing speeds of the Mercury though.

Sanyo Zio as well. Was happy with phone for the first 4 months, but as the apps started updating the phone slowed down to crawl. Then I had high hopes for the OS update, which did initially helped and sped things up a bit. Then the problems started, and have persisted. Texts that trigger the notification sound, but the message itself never shows up. Lower signal strength in general. Bluetooth devices that randomly disconnect and reconnect spontaenously. Phone lock ups and slow downs. So yeah...I really don't think the new phone can show up soon enough for me!

I'm thinking of finally ditching my Samsung Moment for it. I'm way overdue for an upgrade. I'm also going to wait and see if I can get an Epic Touch (Bad ESN maybe?) for a good price to flash.

My Indulge locks up constantly. Blacks out unexpectedly and the battery life is really not good.

I think battery life on all androids is pretty weak in comparison with other smartphones (iPhones, Crackberrys, Palms). If you shut down all non essentials (GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and go into low brightness mode) with the power widget, it seems about 35%-40% better. But then again, you have just disabled most of the reasons for owning the phone in the first place...just kills me. Other solution is to buy additional aftermarket batteries (Ebay, and Amazon have a good selection), keep them charged and swap them out as needed. Good news, a story on Slash.dot said that a battery breakthru with Lith-ion batteries will mean 10X longer battery life with the same sized batteries. Bad news, three to five years before it comes to market!!!

i actually sold mi Ascend II on Nov 4 to buy the then Glory. I guess the joke was on me. At least the friend I sold it to, let me borrow his samsung messager.... It truly sucks, i had it before. I mis my Ascend II, it was a huge improvement over the ascend one, which I also had.
