Win7 Hauwei M886 ADB USB driver manual setup

Plug in the USB cable to your computer and Huawei M886. Wait for windows to try to recognize the device.

Goto Device Manager and you should see a 'Other devices' and 'Android Adapter' with a yellow exclamation point.

Next navigate to the location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\extras\google\usb_driver\android_winusb.inf

Open the file with notepad and edit with the following info...
After the header '[Google.NTx86]' also after the header '[Google.NTamd64]'
Add the following text...

;Huawei M886
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_12D1&PID_1038
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_12D1&PID_1038&MI_01

Save the changes to the file 'android_winusb.inf'. You might need to save to your desktop first and then copy it back to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\extras\google\usb_driver\

Next right click on the Andriod Adapter in Device manager and click on 'Update Driver'

Click on Browse my computer for driver software

Browse to the directory mentioned above.

Click on 'Install this driver software anyway'

Be patient and after waiting for about a minute you should see the display below

Unplug your phone and then plug the USB cable back in
Verify your device is seen in the Device Manager under 'Android Phone'

Finally open the command prompt and type ‘adb devices’ to verify device is present...

Congratulations you now have the ADB USB driver for Windows 7 installed and functioning
