If there isn't true 4G out yet, I don't think they should advertise it as 4G, just because it's faster than what 3G usually is. Maybe they could say "4G speeds", but I don't think they should say 4G. I think that would be misleading.

Then again, back to the term "unlimited", people could say that is misleading also.

Yeah, I guess the government or some legal team would need to get involved for something to be changed.

While I appluad your idealism, please don't suggest out loud that the government get any more involved in any facet of our lives. Government doesn't fix anything.

I'm not suggesting that the government get involved. I am neutral with politics. I was simply saying that I think the government could regulate the marketing, like they do with many other things, instead of letting anything be said.

As I'm sure we all are in general. Any new phone news is interesting. I am hoping we can bring over LTE phones from at least one other carrier still.

Also interested in the future data plans for phones.
Please check the forum and post there before PMing me. I have over 674 unread PMs due to the fact that they are issues which should have been addressed here.

If VoLTE comes out with Cricket, which it probably will, if flashing is still allowed and is compatible with the network, it should be available in all markets, which would be great. Currently I think most LTE devices are still using the traditional network for voice calls, but when VoLTE is implemented then there won't be that "AWS" restriction anymore. That would be great..

I'm also curious to see what data plans come out. From what I've read LTE is supposed to be more efficient and cheaper, so hopefully that will mean an increase in soft caps and throttling.

switchover to 4G LTE in Chicago causing problems

About 60% of the times I make or receive a call I get connected with some random strange number. It's getting annoying as hell. Then cricket themselves deny anything is wrong and makes it that much more aggravating. And its all due to the transition to 4G since they run on sprint's network here in Chicago

When did Cricket start the transition to 4g in Chicago? Las Vegas was just announced as the 2nd 4g network and it's only for modems at this point because Cricket hasn't released a 4g phone yet. I don't think your problems have anything to do with 4g.

Also Cricket has it's own network in Chicago, and they only use Sprint's when you leave their coverage area.
